The history gets a little fuzzy around the time from the earth was created until man walked it's surface. About half way through this time period, there became what was known as the Demonic Uprising. This became an all out war between the Angels, who were trying to take the Demons captive, to make them their slaves to be able to use them to build and to create a world for Man.
The Demons were once the ruling kind of this land. This Planet. Ter'Ran, they called it. The Demonic pronunciation of "Fertile Soil". Their cities were grand. Their people were common. No Humans existed here. Demons feasted upon the blood of animals, if they did not eat just like we do now. Wines, great feasts, parties for everything. The good ol' days.
Everything ran smoothly for the upper end of a thousand years or more. Then everything changed. A decree came down from the Angels, the Demons immortal enemy. Or so they have been taught from this point on.
The truth was, before that decree, Angels and Demons lived in almost complete unison. The Angels let them do what they wanted, a few even mated with the Leaders of the Demon people. Their Kings.
At this time, all demons had all elements, though even some were more prominent than others. This proved to be dangerous for the Demons. Heartbreaking in the end.
The decree the angel Uriel set forth all those years ago stated as follows:
"Demons must be sent to follow Lucifer to the A'Kasha, where you will recreate your cities, rebuild your lives, Leave the Ter'Ran for Man to roam."
The Demons were very reluctant to leave, the Angels took to enslaving them, making them destroy their own cities, ruining their lives, splitting them apart into 10 Divisions, by way of Element, killing off their leaders. The first Demons, the ones that lived in times of peace, became known as Zeroes.
Demons were split up into the following groups:
Water
Fire
Ice
Earth, Wood
Earth, Rock
Wind
Electricity
Metal
Light
Dark
All of this chaos lead to the beginning of the Great Rebellion, or the Demonic Uprising. Leaders of each of the Divisions attacked the Angels. The Angels fought back, but soon enough, they were done fighting, creating the Hunters to go after the rebel Demons.
Only about 20 years have passed, Demons are still fighting strong against these forces, and Hunters are starting to go after Angels as well. All races are getting desperate for change, but none are willing to give.
